And in 2008, it carried out a successful spacewalk. Space programs in China are planned and executed by two agencies namely the China National Space Administration and the China Aerospace Corporation. Previously, the authority for space developments was the Ministry of Aerospace Industry.  As space leadership reflects national capabilities and international influence, every country strives to prove their part of dominance in the field of space research and development. China had planned to send a laboratory module to space in the current year which shall be the first building block of the new Chinese space station. The module has its size comparable to that of a train car/coach and is much smaller than the main module of the International Space station which is nearly the size of a football field. Dayanidhi Maran resigns from the union cabinet.

Image
Dayanidhi Maran had handled two ministries under the reign of Congress namely the department of Telecommunications and the department of Textiles. He was named the minister of Textiles, as he was been asked to hand over the department of Telecommunications to A.Raja, who is behind the bars now for involving in corruption and incurring a massive loss of 1.7 lakh crores to the national treasury, by the DMK leader M.Karunanidhi. The reason for why M.Karunanidhi arranged for this shift of ministries is very evident from the arrest of A.Raja. CBI enquires brought into light the true faces of A.Raja and Kanimozhi (the daughter of the DMK leader M.Karunanidhi) in the 2-G scam and punishments were been appropriately sought. Now, the depth of the investigations has uprooted Dayanidhi Maran’s part of foul play in the scam. Today (7/7/2011) Maran gave his resignation letter to the prime minister and left his office after being accused guilty. Investigations show that Dayanidhi Maran had force

Plastic Solar Cells - A new innovation...

One of the burning topics that is alive today for any number of hours of discussion is the global warming. Global warming is briefly said as the increase in earth’s atmospheric temperature due to the increase in proportions of greenhouse gases (like carbon dioxide, sulphur dioxide, etc.) in air. The extra warmth provided by these gases, causes the polar ice caps to melt, which results in the drowning of low land areas in water, as the mean sea level rises. It is roughly estimated that in a time of 100 years, countries like Maldives, Jordan and Israel will completely go under water. Pollution due to burning of fossil fuels is one of the prime factors leading to global warming. The immediate remedy is to reduce the usage of hydrocarbons like (diesel, petrol, gasoline, etc.) and lean towards renewable energy sources like solar power, tidal power, etc.  Due to the alarming levels of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere, almost every country has taken steps in bringing non-conventional e
