China is planning for a new Space Station..

Chinese space operations were remarkable over the years. China in 2005 became the 3rd nation in the world to send man on its own, beyond atmospheric boundaries. And in 2008, it carried out a successful spacewalk. Space programs in China are planned and executed by two agencies namely the China National Space Administration and the China Aerospace Corporation. Previously, the authority for space developments was the Ministry of Aerospace Industry.
As space leadership reflects national capabilities and international influence, every country strives to prove their part of dominance in the field of space research and development. China had planned to send a laboratory module to space in the current year which shall be the first building block of the new Chinese space station. The module has its size comparable to that of a train car/coach and is much smaller than the main module of the International Space station which is nearly the size of a football field. Some of the noted countries which have control over the giant International Space Station are US, UK, Canada, Japan, etc. China is likely to expand its new space station by ferrying machineries and equipments in the subsequent missions.

China is definitely forging ahead in the space industry and has a fat chance of becoming a new leader in space administration dethroning nations like US and Russia, which are only a few steps ahead. Even though China is lagging behind them in technology and experience, it has several significant advantages like accurate planning and a sound economy to back up space missions. Chinese five year plans are considered a healthy system to take forward the constructed plans for execution. Now China has become one good competitor for supremacy in the space-race and their sincere approach is expected to make their dream come true…
